Panorama Giustinelli
Exterior
2015
The murals are located inside a building called Panorama Giustinelli, an avant-garde palace in the center of Trieste. The internal structure is entirely made of wood and it uses an almost exclusively geothermal heating system, making it highly sustainable.
The project involved creating two different artworks on the walls of two courtyards that bring light into the apartments. These are relatively small spaces but are visible upon entering the apartments. The black and white mural, in particular, not only characterizes the entrance to the apartments but also creates a scenic effect for the building’s hall.
Davide chose to give continuity to his mural by creating a vine-like design that develops along the entire height of the wall. The plant is a philodendron, and within this highly organic and chaotic element, there are contrasting geometric portions, aiming to balance order and chaos.

Sara, on the other hand, decided to create separate subjects visible individually in the living rooms and entrances of the various apartments. Her murals have a stronger presence of color and combine a realistic and detailed representation of the subject with illustrative elements that make up the background.
