Post-industrial landscapes

Interior
2021

The work is situated within a private residence and unfolds across two distinct spaces.

The first space is themed around the metallurgical industry and the pioneering lunar expeditions by Russian astronauts. This subject, chosen for the house’s entrance, was inspired by a metallic sculpture made from recycled objects depicting a robot, positioned directly in front of the paintings. The paintings and the wall intervention together create a sort of theatrical scenery.

The second space extends along the staircase, visible also from the spacious living room. Given the house lacks outward views and does not offer a broad panorama, the paintings depict a dawn view of one of Trieste’s main streets as the sun rises. The aim was to not only create a semblance of a window but also to imbue the space with a particular atmosphere through the landscape’s lighting. The paintings are complemented by other nocturnal subjects, observable while ascending the stairs, and a graphic structure on the wall designed to unify the various themes.
