Lapis

Interior
2006

The installation, titled “Lapis,” was created for a group exhibition held at the Villa Manin Museum of Contemporary Art in Passariano del Friuli. The theme offers an allegorical and personal interpretation of the artistic creation process, centering on the alchemical tradition as the focal point of the exploration. A realistic, almost photographic depiction in the paintings contrasts with an equally abstract and chaotic background, highlighted by large black ink stains.

The installation occupies an entire room in the museum, creating an immersive experience. The observer is fully engaged and surrounded by the works that comprise the installation.
