Views

This project is part of an interior design initiative carried out by the RNDR architectural studio. The apartment is located in the center of Trieste, close to the sea. However, due to its location and the surrounding buildings, it lacks any significant views. Given this premise, the four paintings within the apartment are designed to function as glimpses or actual windows.

The triptych, which serves as the project’s focal point, presents a panoramic view of the gulf. The image, intentionally overexposed, features missing parts and some small graphic interventions. The use of white allows the subject and the wall surface to integrate more harmoniously, enabling the painting to blend more coherently into the environment.

To conclude the project, several small paintings offering glimpses of the city of Trieste were created along the entrance corridor. As with the previous triptych, the compositional structure of the subjects provided an opportunity to incorporate graphic elements within the paintings.
